Perhaps.... How amazing would that be, i'd wuggle the hardest, but from what i've read there have been rumors that say that Warner Bros is planning a big screen tent pole theatrical release prob would really sick, because now the studios know that making films really good (not just formulaic bullshit) and close to the source materials, actually attracts more viewers, and with this film Warner Bros knows they certainly have a tasty demographic. But that aside this film would be worth it just for the reuniting of these original characters and their interactions. It would be extra interesting to see the A-list Brolin (Def. A-list after "Dub-ya" is released.) compared to these B-list, C-list and even D-list characters...no positives yet, ill keep you posted....Goonies Never Say Die

-You'll notice that I went ahead and purchased everything that Ikea and Pier 1 have ever produced. There's my decorative birdcage over there even though I don't have a bird, and there's my gay wicker basket with bamboo poles in it. I don't know what the hell that's thing's all about, but I bought it.

-Hey look at my refrigerator. There are pictures all over it! Look at all these pictures of me and my equally vacuous friends from college! We were so crazy! You can tell we're really good friends because our faces are all pressed up against each other like that.

-And check it out, we're holding up alcoholic beverages to the camera in every single picture. That's to prove that we were partying. College was so fun! But of course I don't talk to any of these girls anymore because now they're all bitches.

August Nums + Review of Step Brothers

As far as comic book movies go, this summer's been pretty off the chain. We started out with Iron Man, and continued watching as Incredible Hulk, Wanted, Hellboy II, and, obviously, Dark fucking Knight essentially eliminated the notion of any exclusivity of comics on film. However, while the studios have been tickling our collective geek weenis, there has been an absence in sophomoric, scatologically based comedy (read: dick and fart jokes). Since April's Harold and Kumar 2, the comedies being released have been juvenile and mainstream (i.e. Get Smart and Love Guru), family-oriented (Kung-Fu Panda), or just nice and gay (Sex and the City). Where are the tits? The bong rips? The geeky film references? Where's Seth Rogen, Will Ferrell, and the other masters of these summer comedy trends?

The answer is August. The movie studios, for once, were smart this year, and left the onslaught of high-budget comic/geek movies to compete mostly with each other, and not with counter-programming that shared the 14-25 demographic. Now, with the Dark Knight ending (and smacking) it's like-minded competition, we have a month of extremely promising comedies, starring the likes of Rogen (Pineapple Express), Steve Coogan (Hamlet 2), Jack Black/Robert Downey, Jr. (Tropic Thunder), and Ferrell and John C. Reilly, featured in the just-released Step Brothers. Having seen Thunder and Step Brothers, I can confidently say this August will be filled with belly laughs, quotable lines, and a void of desperate, late-summer trips to see Christopher Walken play a Chinaman (god, did they fuck that movie up).

Step Brothers feels like the next logical step in the careers of its principals, Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly, and director Adam McKay, all returning from Talladega Nights. After seeing Ferrell and Reilly's on-screen chemistry explode in that film, along with McKay's growing ability for coherent and dramatic storylines, it is refreshing that, for their next movie, they dropped all the bells and whistles (read: overbearing satire and hyper-extended cast) and have made a simple movie about two step brothers learning to restrain their urges to humiliate, attack, and, literally, bury each other under their parents roof. Ferrell and Reilly have perfected their respective man-child roles, and dig into their rivalry, and their inevitable friendship, with zealous, violent glee. The question remains though: isn't Will Ferrell's schtick fucking old by now?

The answer is yeah. It is. And Ferrell knows it. That's why, with this one, him, Reilly, and McKay took it upon themselves to up the ante in every way possible, using every weapon in their arsenal (i.e. creative swearing, male nudity, and, in possibly the film's best scene, child abuse) to ensure that Step Brothers, if nothing else, is in worse taste than any of their previous films. They take what audiences loved about Anchorman and Talladega, and they make it deliciously, unabashedly R-rated. Turns out, while John C. Reilly is just as dependably hilarious as one would expect, this free reign gives Will Ferrell the ability to go places, with both his character and his jokes, that he previously couldn't, and it pays off in spades. Mary Steenburgen (still lovely in her late 50's) and Richard Jenkins, the extremely underrated comedic character actor, do miles to ground the film as the parents, who treat these two with a refreshing mix of discipline and parental nurturing. However, the film belongs to Reilly and Ferrell, and any fan of either performer owes it to themself to check out their crudest, most straightforward, and, in my humble opinion, the funniest fucking film in either of their canons.

PROS:
-Humor filthy enough to make a beenie book
-Perfect chemistry between the two leads
-Coherent plot with good comedic payoffs and few slow points
-Great sense of character and relationship that gives whole cast time to shine

CONS:
-Too few too mention: if anything, that Will Ferrell's waning mass appeal will deny this movie the modern-classic status it truly deserves

In Short: WEEEEL NUUUM, Ferrell nags it the hardest, go see it REAL BWIDDLED and it's literally the cwazest

Burton's Alice in Wonderland

Its gonna be motion capture, which i think if used effectively (i.e. Zemeckis' Beowulf) could be a shitload of wuggled, cwaze, imagery and fun. Alice is some random little girl from Australia [Mia Wasikowska].
Here's the real news, long-time Burton collaborator Johnny Depp is supposed to be playing The Mad Hatter...perfect.....personally Depp's performance in Sweeny Todd (apart from Sacha Baron Cohen and Alan Rickman) was pretty much the only reason i loved it. HE'S TOO WUGGIN!
